Each year, The League of Canadian Poets runs several contests, one of which is the “Very Small Verse” contest. I sent them a few very brief poems and, while I didn’t win the big prize, I did receive an email from the LCP asking if they could feature one of the poems I submitted in their online publishing series, “Poetry Pause”. “Poetry Pause” is modeled after Poets.org’s “Poem-A-Day” series, designed to give readers a daily dose of poetic deliciousness.
